Come as you are. Every aspect of you.
Who This Space Is For
Realistiq Mystiq exists for everyone. Not as a polite disclaimer—as a practice.
I’m queer and neurodivergent. These aren’t incidental facts about me—they shape how I see, how I guide, and how this space functions. The loneliness of not belonging, the exhaustion of masking and performing, the relief of finally stopping—I know these from the inside. This space is built around that knowledge.
The Kaula Trika Shaivite tantric lineage from which this practice draws understands reality as non-dual—no separation between sacred and mundane, no hierarchy of bodies, no correct way to exist. That understanding is not abstract here; it is the foundation of how we treat each other.
We use explicit, strong language here because we know how easy it is to look at a spiritual or movement space and self-exclude because you don’t see yourself. You are explicitly and intentionally welcome here if you are:
- Queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, or anywhere on the spectrum of sexual orientation.
- Trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, or questioning your gender identity.
- Someone who wishes to be seen, addressed, and treated according to your gender identity or presentation, regardless of what your body looks like.
- Someone exploring your masculine or feminine energetic qualities, regardless of external presentation.
- Non-monogamous, polyamorous, or relationship-diverse in any configuration.
- Kink-aware, kink-friendly, or part of the BDSM or leather community.
- No matter what caste you identify or do not identify with. We stand firmly against caste-based discrimination and exclusion; your lineage and background belong here.
- Neurodivergent—autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or otherwise wired differently from the norm.
- A person of any body type, size, age, or physical presentation.
- Living with chronic illness, chronic pain, or physical disability.
- A survivor of sexual abuse, religious trauma, or any other form of trauma.
- Someone in recovery—from addiction, from religion, from anything that had its hooks in you.
- Financially disadvantaged—the sunrise yoga class at the Shala is offered free to the local Palolem community, and sliding scale arrangements for other offerings can always be discussed openly and without judgment.
- A complete beginner with no prior experience of yoga, bodywork, or any spiritual practice.
- Someone with no interest in spirituality at all, who just wants to move their body or have a conversation.
- Someone who has a request they have never felt safe making anywhere else.
On Sexuality
In the tantric tradition, sexuality is not separate from the sacred—it is one of its clearest expressions. The vital, creative energy that moves through all living things is the same energy that animates practice, art, connection, and consciousness itself. This is not something to fear, suppress, or be ashamed of. It is something to understand, honor, and engage with intelligently.
This space is sex-positive and body-affirming. A wide range of physical and emotional responses to practice are completely natural and normal—including arousal. You are always empowered to make choices that feel right for your own body in that moment. All expressions of gender, sexuality, and intimacy are welcome here without judgment or hierarchy. We do not subscribe to shame-based frameworks around the body or its desires. We do subscribe to consent, clarity, and care.
We invite you to bring what you actually want to this space, not what you think is socially acceptable or polite to want. In the non-dual tantric tradition of this lineage, desire (Kama) is not a distraction to be suppressed—it is the raw, creative life-force energy of reality itself showing up inside you. The practice is not about masking or judging this raw material. It is about bringing your unmasked wanting into clear, honest awareness so that it can meet your conscious will (Iccha). When wanting and willing align without shame, energy becomes a source of presence rather than hidden division. Come precisely as you are, with all of your desire, your boundaries, and your truth.
Unanimous Consent & The Sensory Environment
We operate on a principle of environmental unanimity: if a single participant is uncomfortable with an environmental factor, that factor is modified or eliminated for the entire class, if it can be controlled within the Shala. There is no social pressure, and requests will always be honored.
- Traditional Yoga & Meditative Flows: To protect your internal space, these sessions feature no added scents or music. Voice guidance is limited strictly to the most essential words, leaving you maximal time with yourself. Participants are invited to close their eyes to eliminate external sensory disruption, leaving only the natural environmental sounds of the surrounding space. (Note: Incense is typically lit prior to the arrival of classes through a small ritual to cleanse the air, but can be extinguished upon request).
- Workshops & Interactive Classes: These may actively incorporate curated music and/or specific scents to enhance mood and engagement.
- Private & Bodywork Sessions: The sensory environment is entirely customized to your desires. Any request for or against specific music, silence, scents, or incense will be completely honored.
Physical Accessibility & Geography
The Shala at Om Ganesha Resort, Palolem is located in a seasonal, tropical garden setting. The geography of this region presents specific physical traits: the entire area extending from the shoreline to 1km inland is beach and consists entirely of natural sand.
- The Path & Steps: There is a sandy path leading to the Shala, and a 6-inch step at the entrance, which presents physical navigation challenges for wheelchair users or those with significant mobility limitations.
- Restrooms & Changing Rooms: A gender-neutral/all-gender toilet and changing room is located at the resort, approximately 30 meters away from the Shala structure. Accessing the restroom requires navigating two distinct steps of approximately 6 inches each.
We recognize these geographic and physical boundaries. We are always completely willing to discuss alternatives, off-site arrangements, or adaptations where possible. Please reach out to us before your visit so we can explicitly collaborate on arrangements to support you.
Language and Communication
If you have communication needs—including those related to neurodivergence, hearing, or language—please let us know in advance. We will do our best to accommodate.
Digital Accessibility
