traditional yoga

Drawn from the Kaula Trika Shaivite lineage, this is not the yoga you may know. Slow, meditative, and deeply intentional through breath, stillness, and the body’s own intelligence. Skill over struggle, balance over force. Accessible to complete beginners. Humbling for experienced practitioners.

meditative flow

60-90 Minutes | See Schedule or By Appointment

Realistiq Mystiq demonstrating the traditional tantric Tiryakasana during a meditative flow yoga class.

The foundation of the practice – a traditional form rooted in lineage. Slow-moving, silent and meditative, with long holds and intentional pauses. All on the ground, flowing in and out of Shavasana. Accessible to beginners, challenging to experienced practitioners. The practice cultivates your ability to relax, even in difficulty. As Bill Murray said: “The more relaxed you are, the better you are at everything.”

standing series

30 Minutes | See Schedule or By Appointment

The standing series focuses on balance, strength, and alignment. A short all-rounder that gets your body and mind ready for the day, perfect for Sunrise Yoga or to prepare for the Meditative Flow. This is a practice you can take home. Simple to learn, immediately applicable, and rewarding enough that you will want to return to it each morning long after you leave.

Yoga for the curious

60 Minutes | See Schedule or By Appointment

An interactive and conversational Yoga for the Curious session inside the Realistiq Mystiq traditional tantric yoga Shala in South Goa

An interactive class where we move through asanas while exploring how they work and why they matter. Unlike the Meditative Flow, this is conversational. Participants guide what we discuss, whether that’s understanding specific postures, exploring the philosophy behind the practice, or other questions that arise. This is an excellent way to keep restless minds engaged while the body begins to learn. We keep it light — moving and talking prevents getting too stuck in our heads.

private sessions

Variable | See Schedule or By Appointment

All classes are available as private sessions, tailored to your individual practice and pace. Private sessions can also incorporate additional elements, such as Bandha and Pranayama work, naked yoga, or other practices drawn from the tantric tradition, based on your interests and intentions. An initial conversation is recommended for all new participants.

Unlocking Bandhas and Pranayama Series

2 Hours | See Schedule or By Appointment

Close up of Realistiq Mystiq in Padmasana focusing on grounding breathwork and Pranayama for a Mula Bhanda workshop

Your pelvic floor is the foundation for everything — yoga, intimacy, just existing in your body without feeling like you’re floating away. This workshop is built around one of the most powerful and least understood tools in the yogic tradition: Mula Bandha, the root lock.

We begin with breathwork (Pranayama). Breath influences every thought, action, and emotion, and it’s the one involuntary process you can consciously control. Learning to work with breath opens the body and prepares the mind for what follows. From there we introduce Uddiyana Bandha (abdominal lock) and Jalandhara Bandha (throat lock) as supporting practices before arriving at Mula Bandha itself.

This is where the workshop lives — in what the root lock actually does in lived experience. How it grounds you when anxiety has you dissociating. How it keeps energy moving through the body rather than draining out. And somewhere most yoga classes don’t go: the relationship between pelvic floor awareness and pleasure, stamina, and embodied presence.

Ancient body mechanics. Immediately applicable. No prior yoga experience required.

Learn the Ancient art of siddhi walking massage

2 Hours | See Schedule or By Appointment

We begin where many traditions begin — with water and feet. Each participant washes and is washed by their partner: a simple act that across Hindu, Christian, and countless other traditions signals the reversal of hierarchy, the purification of intention, and the readiness to serve. It is also, practically speaking, an introduction to the feet as instruments of connection rather than just locomotion.

From there we move into a meditative walk as a conscious exploration of how the foot makes contact. Drawing from the Three Powers of Shakti (Consciousness): the impulse to move (Icchā), the intelligence that shapes the movement (Jñāna), and the act of placing the foot with full presence (Kriyā). This is not exercise. It is the beginning of understanding how to touch another being consciously, because a foot placed without awareness is just weight.

The massage itself is taught by demonstration, practiced in partnership, and refined with individual guidance. Rooted in the South Indian Siddha tradition, it works with the body as a whole system by stimulating circulation and balancing the body’s natural flows through a complete cycle from feet through legs, back, and arms.

No experience required. Particularly well suited to couples and friends who want to practice on each other long after the workshop ends.

retreats in india

A sunrise over one end of the crescent-shaped Palolem beach steps away from the Realistiq Mystiq Traditional Tantra Yoga Shala in Palolem, Goa

South Goa is not like the rest of India. Quieter, greener, slower, and home to one of the most intact stretches of coastline on the subcontinent. A retreat here is not a package. It is a rhythm.

Each day begins with Sunrise Yoga (Standing Series) and moves into the traditional Meditative Flow that is the foundation of everything we do. From there, the day opens. Yoga for the Curious for those who want conversation alongside movement. Afternoon workshops such as bodywork, Tantra philosophy, art, dance, breathwork. Evenings for deep conversation in the Shala or for light ones by the river, the beach, or whatever arises.

Beyond the practice, South Goa offers experiences that are genuinely rare. Boat trips up the Palolem backwaters to feed the eagles. Kayaking at sunset on the Talpona River. Visits to Netravali and Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuaries, Tanshikar Spice Farm, and Galgibag (one of the last protected turtle nesting sites on the Indian coast). All organized through local families and operators who know this land intimately.

Accommodation can be arranged at Om Ganesha Resort (comfortable, riverside, and budget friendly) or at any level of comfort in and around Palolem. We build the program around you, whether you are coming for a long weekend or an extended stay.

Retreats are available for individuals, couples, and small groups. Pricing depends on duration, accommodation, and what you want to include. Reach out and we will put something together.

engagements

We can talk about every aspect of a mango, or we can taste one and share the experience together. Which would you choose?

Davis brings a rare and largely inaccessible body of knowledge into any room, available through engagements as short as two hours or across a series of encounters.

Leading with a shared experience, the conversation emerges naturally and is immediately relevant for both newcomers and dedicated practitioners who think they’ve seen it all.

As a guide for the overwhelmed and authentically lost, Davis actualizes the ancient, distills the complex, and embodies the esoteric. This holds true in content as much as in approach, from the body to the philosophy, and back again.

If your room would benefit from a taste of the mango, reach out.

personal guidance & the kula

Close up of Davis/Realistiq Mystiq in a personal guidance consultation at a cafe on the streets of New Orleans.

The pathless path is uniquely yours. And sometimes it helps to have company. Personal Guidance begins with a conversation: your reality, your intentions, your questions. It may be all you need, or the beginning of something longer. Either way, what emerges is co-created, not prescribed.

For those drawn to ongoing practice, there is the Kula. This is not a class or a membership — it is a committed practice relationship, shared and deepening over time. As the practice develops, so does access to materials and teachings from the lineage, offered as and when they become relevant. The only prerequisite is genuine intent. If that is present, you are already welcome.

The first conversation is complimentary. Sessions from $150 per hour.
