Not a Substitute for Professional Care

The classes, workshops, bodywork sessions, personal guidance, engagements, and retreats offered through Realistiq Mystiq are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. If you are experiencing a physical or mental health condition, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. Participation in any offering does not constitute a therapeutic relationship.

Davis Broach is not a licensed therapist, medical professional, sex therapist, or healer. He is a facilitator—an initiate of the Kaula Trika Shaivite tantric lineage with over three decades of experience, who supports your process at your own rhythm and according to your own intentions. Personal guidance sessions address philosophical, practical, and embodied dimensions of life experience; they are not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment.

Appointment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

We request at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any service. Because deposits secure a specific time slot and spot within limited space availability, refunds or rescheduling are possible up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Exceptions can always be mutually agreed upon—we are all human—but this baseline structure respects the shared commitment of time.

  • Late Arrivals & Early Departures: All classes and sessions run through their appointed time and will not be extended, as this impacts the rest of the daily schedule.
    • For Group Classes: If you arrive late, you are welcome to join a class already in progress, but we request that you enter silently and without interruption to any ongoing meditative flow. Similarly, those who need to leave early for any reason are requested to do so quietly.
    • For Private Sessions: Private appointments cannot be extended beyond their scheduled conclusion and will be cancelled if participants are more than 15 minutes late, subject to our cancellation policies.

Presence and the Environment of the Phone

The phone is the absolute enemy of presence. Anytime you look at a phone, you look at a portal to somewhere else in your mind or being. We invite you to be exactly where you are during classes and sessions.

All phones must be switched to off or silent—with no vibrations permitted—and you are requested to keep your phone away from your person during any class or private session. If an ongoing event in your life requires you to keep your phone near you, your mind is understandably elsewhere; because you cannot be fully present for the session, it will be cancelled subject to our standard cancellation policies. You are warmly invited to be present wherever you are required to be present, even if that means being elsewhere instead of the Shala.

Space, Substance Use, and Mutual Comfort

The Shala is no more sacred or mundane than any other parcel of space in the universe, but practical considerations are taken into account for mutual comfort, hygiene, and physical safety:

  • Substance Use: No drugs or alcohol are permitted inside the Shala. Anyone whose presence indicates impairment by alcohol or drug use may be refused entry or requested to leave without interruption to the space.
  • Smoking & Vaping: Smoking is not permitted within 20 meters of the Shala. Vaping is welcome when classes are not in session, provided that everyone present in the Shala consents completely willingly and without pressure.
  • Hygiene & Environment: No shoes and no glass are permitted inside the Shala. To prevent ants and other insects, no food or liquids other than water may be brought inside.
  • Belongings & Props: Participants are requested to come with as few belongings as possible so as not to clutter the meditative space, and to place them out of sight of the class. A limited number of yoga mats are available free of charge. Cleaning the mat before and after use is recommended and is entirely the responsibility of the participant.

Participation, Prana, and the Body

All classes and sessions work deeply with prana (also known as chi, and sometimes simply called “energy” in the West). This work may manifest in noticeable emotions, feelings, and physiological responses in the body, particularly in some adult workshops and in bodywork where vital creative and sexual energies are directly affected. A wide range of physical and emotional responses to this practice are completely natural and normal, and are treated here with dignity and respect.

Yoga, bodywork, and movement practices involve physical activity, and participation is at your own risk. Please inform your practitioner of any injuries, health conditions, or physical limitations before your session or class. Allow at least one hour after eating before a bodywork session.

  • Children and Families: Most of our classes and workshops are inherently kid-friendly and can easily be modified to be more welcoming of children, preferably with prior notice. The exceptions are 1:1 bodywork, specialized adult workshops, and the intensive meditative flows.
  • Puberty & Meditative Flow: The meditative flow classes are open to children over the age of 12 or those who have otherwise passed through the immediate process of puberty. This is an energetic consideration, not an arbitrary rule: during puberty, the body is doing its own intense internal work to achieve hormonal balance. We believe it is optimal to let the body complete this on its own without external interference.
  • Menstruation and Pregnancy: This same energetic principle applies to menstruation and pregnancy. Rather than establishing rigid boundaries, you are invited to deeply examine the experience of your own body and make an informed, intuitive decision regarding your participation. Modifications are always available and will never be refused.

Consent and Touch

Realistiq Mystiq operates under a strict no-touch-without-explicit-consent policy in all classes, workshops, and group settings. Touch will not be initiated without your verbal consent. The only exception is if your practitioner believes there is an immediate risk of physical harm to yourself or others. A touch in a group setting also breaks the meditative flow for the participant—this is another reason we do not touch without being asked.

In bodywork and private sessions, the scope and nature of touch is established through an initial consultation and ongoing verbal consent throughout the session. You are always empowered to communicate or withdraw your consent at any point, without explanation. Your autonomy over your own experience is absolute.

On Sexual Energy

Within the tantric tradition, vital creative and sexual energy is understood as one element within a much larger landscape of practice—not as a goal or a guarantee. A wide range of physical and emotional responses are completely natural and normal. If you experience discomfort at any point, you are encouraged to say so. You are always empowered to make choices that feel right for your own body in that moment. For those seeking a sexual encounter specifically: letting go of that specific intention can help free your mind and body of unnecessary tension. This is not a sexual service.
